Deputy Directors Suzie Daykin and Yvette Bosworth are jobshare partners and together are Head of the Fire Strategy and Reform Unit in the Home Office.
They have more than 45 years in the UK Civil Service between them, working in strategy and policy roles in a variety of government departments. They have a particular interest in system leadership, working in partnership across organisational boundaries to secure shared objectives.
The Fire Strategy and Reform Unit leads work to transform fire and rescue services in England, delivering the Government’s ambitious plans for the sector. We are a very outward looking team, working closely with sector leaders in fire services and local government to drive reform programmes. Only by understanding the real-world impact of our work – including on communities – can we properly advise Ministers on the way ahead.
