Emergency Preparedness and Resilience Fire Standard

We are grateful for all the feedback we received through the consultation on the Emergency Preparedness and Resilience Fire Standard, all of which has been considered. We have provided an explanation and rationale for the changes made to the final version of the Fire Standard in the table below.

Fire Investigation Fire Standard

The NFCC’s Fire Investigation Workstream has delivered a number of guidance documents, working in partnership with others where appropriate, to enable services to assure and improve their capability in this area. Safeguarding Fire Standard

The NFCC’s Safeguarding Workstream has delivered a number of guidance documents and a self-assessment tool to enable services to assure and improve their capability in this area. We are grateful for all the feedback we received through the consultation, all of which has been considered. We have provided an explanation and rationale for the changes made in the table below.

Protection Fire Standard

The NFCC’s Protection, Policy and Reform Unit (PPRU) has delivered a number of guidance documents and a competency framework to enable services to improve their capacity and competency in this area. It is continuing to deliver guidance and support to services across the UK to help drive improvements in protection activities. Prevention Fire Standard

The NFCC Prevention Programme is in the process of developing guidance to support services and more will follow over the coming months. Fire Protection Fire Standard

THE CONSULTATION &#8211; NOw CLOSED The Fire Standards Board commissioned the development of the Fire Protection Fire Standard through the Protection Policy and Reform Unit (PPRU). From this a working group was formed with representation from services across the country to support development work.
